All Public Schools Closed in Harrison County on Tuesday, September 2

Harrison County, Miss. - Due to expected severe weather from Hurricane Gustav, all schools in

Harrison County’s five public school districts will be closed on Tuesday, September 2.

The affected public school districts are those run by:

• The City of Gulfport

• The City of Biloxi

• The City of Long Beach

• The City of Pass Christian and

• Harrison County.

The County Emergency Management Agency asks officials with private schools in the county to

call the agency at 228-865-4002 to share their plans on whether their schools will be open on

September 2.
