United Way for Jackson & George Counties Begins Accepting Volunteer of the Year Nominations

United Way for Jackson & George Counties is currently accepting nominations for its 23rd annual Volunteers Are Important People (VIP) Award Luncheon.

 

“Volunteers serve a vital role in the success of our communities,” said United Way for Jackson & George Counties Chief Professional Officer Carolyn Moore.  “United Way is proud to host this event, now in its 23rd year, to say thank you and recognize those important people who give, advocate and volunteer of their time and talents in our community.”

 

Any individual or organization can nominate a volunteer in the categories of male, female, youth or local community service team.  Nominations will be reviewed and selected by a panel of United Way board members.  Nomination forms are available at the local United Way office located at 3510 Magnolia Street in Pascagoula or can be found on the organizations website, www.unitedwayjgc.org.    Completed nominations must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 5, 2010.

 

The VIP Award Luncheon will be held Friday, April 23, 2010 at the LaFont Inn in Pascagoula.
